    Questions for your videographer...

    1. How long have they been videotaping weddings?

    2. How many cameras will they have with them?

    3. What type of equipment will they be filming with? Will the lighting be intrusive?

    4. How will they capture sound during the ceremony? Will I need to wear a microphone? Is it a wireless mic?

    Other things to consider...

Do you want your videography & photography company to be one in the same? This usually means an extra hired person and not the photographer that you think you may be getting.

    What style would you like?

    5. How long will it take them to edit the footage?

    6. When will they arrive at the wedding and how long will they stay?

    7. What are their rates? What is the overtime rate?

    Hand held?

Handheld videos can give an almost "realty tv" type of feel to your wedding video. This may or may not be something that you feel is your "style" so talk to your videographer and get a real good perspective if their style and your style are one in the same.

    8. Is the final cut put on a DVD or a VHS tape?

    9. How many copies of the final cut will I get?

    Stationary?

A stationary style video is going to have little to no movement other then zooming in and zooming out... Maybe some panning left to right and visa versa. This will give you more of a studio feel. Again, talk to your videographer, see if they have examples of both to show you

    10. What is the charge for additional copies?

    Standard?

Maybe you want your video to not have too many special effects and color changes. You defintely want this specified before an artist such as a videographer creates your documentary of your day...

Make sure to see several samplings before you choose your videographer.

You may want a truly unique video, maybe one shot with antique cameras, funky stylings, or more, but you may want to discuss with your videographer, if they are using antique cameras or if they are applying the after effects when editing your video if you can also get a full quality video incase your "taste" changes down the road of life.
